Mollie Mills (Caldwell)

On May 1, 2016, Mollie (Caldwell) Mills, 82, died at SpiriTrust Lutheran in Shrewsbury. She was the wife of the late William L. "Bill" Mills. Public viewings will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4 at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 5. Interment will follow in New Freedom Cemetery. Mollie was born on July 21, 1933, in Harlan, Ky. to the late George and Grace (Roark) Caldwell. She retired from McCormick & Company, Inc. in Hunt Valley, Md. after 27 years of service. In addition to being a loving mother and grandmother, Mollie was an avid BINGO player and enjoyed crocheting and cooking. She is survived by two children, Sharon K. Weyant and husband Stephen S., and Jeffrey L. Mills; one grandson, Michael Green; one step-grandson, Stephen L. Weyant; a great-granddaughter, Rachael Green; one step-great-grandson, Stephen W. Weyant; and one sister, Phyllis Morgan.
