Nancy L. Barrow

Nancy L. Barrow, 72, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2026.

Born in York, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Frances R. (Hoffman) Martin. She was the loving wife of Wayne Hershal Barrow, Sr. of Hanover, PA for 55 years.

Nancy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed family cookouts, telling jokes, making others laugh and always was a joy to be around. To her grandchildren she was known as the “grandma who always had gummy bears." 

Nancy graduated from Hereford High School, Class of 1972. She later retired from Sears in 1996, after 25 years of service and was an auxiliary member of the Parkton American Legion.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne; two sons, Wayne Jr. ( Sherry) and Robert ( Michelle), grandchildren, William, Justin, and Kate-Lynn; step grandchildren,  Anna, Stephanie, and Jordan; and great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Brayden, Jayden, Jaxsyn, and Gunnar. She was preceded by her brothers, Donald and Dale, and a great granddaughter, Alexa.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 from 7:00PM - 9:00 PM at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N, Second St., New Freedom, PA. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 6th at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with a viewing one hour prior from 10:00 - 11:00 AM .

Interment will be at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens (200 E Padonia Rd, Timonium, MD 21093).
