Nancy Lee Turner

Nancy Lee Smith Hannah McBride Turner passed away peacefully on May 19, 2017. Born August 17, 1936, Nancy Lee Smith graduated from Forest Park High School in 1954 and maintained life-long friendships with some of her high school friends, never missing a Forest Park reunion. She was an accomplished needle pointer. Nancy also has been an active member of the Baltimore Symphony Associates for the last 18 years. Daughter of Robert Harris Smith and Bessie Helen (Sampson) Smith, Nancy was the proud mother of Dawna (Terry) Freeland, Lisa (Robert) Wood and Charlene (Timothy) McQuaid; grandmother of Amy (Corey) Wilson, Sarah (Rick) McVicker, Daniel Wood, Brian Freeland, Timothy McQuaid IV and Nicholas McQuaid; and great-grandmother of Everly Hannah McVicker. Public visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 26. Interment, New Freedom Cemetery.
