Norma Elizabeth Wood

Norma Elizabeth Wood, 93, passed from this life on Thursday, December 1, 2022. She was the loving wife of Newman J. Wood and they celebrated seventy-two years of marriage on October 28, 2022. Born in Freeland, Maryland, Norma was the daughter of the late Orie and Nora (Fritz) Shaffer and had five sisters: Bernice, Gladys, Dorothy, Martha and Mary along with four brothers, Kenneth, Larnid, Malden and, Walter. Norma worked for Black & Decker for forty-eight years.

Surviving in addition to her beloved husband are two children, Gail E. McNew of New Freedom and Joseph N. Wood and his spouse, Teresa, of Etters; one grandson, Logan Wood and his spouse, Megan; and two great grandchildren, Morgan and Quinton McNew. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Mark McNew.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a graveside service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 6, at Bethlehem Steltz Cemetery, 5890 Steltz Road, Glen Rock, PA 17327.
