Paul Webb

Paul "Skip" Webb, 91, died Thursday, March 16, 2017 at SpiriTrust Lutheran, Shrewsbury. He was the husband of Eunice (Payne) Webb with whom he had celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary this past July 12th. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 22, at 2 p.m. from the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown. Burial is in Zion United Methodist Cemetery, Stewartstown. Friends may call at the mortuary from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21. Paul was born, April 4, 1925, in Fawn Grove, York County, the son of the late Mary Jeanette Webb. He was a 1943 graduate of the former Fawn Township High School. Paul then signed up with the Army Air Corps during WW II, became a pilot, and attained the rank of captain. He later served with the Air Force Reserve. Following his service he returned to the Stewartstown/Fawn Grove area where he farmed for many years. Paul was a former council member with the Southeastern School District, the Hopewell Township Planning Commission, and was once president of the Zion United Methodist Cemetery Association. He was also a member of the Southern York County Democratic Association, the Young Farmers Association and the Fawn Grove Fair Association. Paul most loved farming and time spent with his family. In addition to his wife Eunice, Paul leaves two daughters, Paulette Webb Zambito and her husband, Frank of Fawn Grove, and Jennifer Webb-Rodemyer and her husband, Jeff of York; four grandchildren, Victoria L. Turner, Vaughn M. Micchiche, Anthony Zambito and Christopher W. Zambito; and four great-grandchildren. Paul was preceded in death by a son, Stephen P. Webb. In Paul's memory, those who wish may make contributions to their favorite charity.
