Peter Louis Stanish, III, 63, loving and devoted husband and father, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of Rochelle Martell and the late Peter Louis Stanish, Jr. Peter married the love of his life, Laura Long Stanish on September 12, 2015, after sharing 8 incredible years together.
Peter was an entrepreneur in the truest sense. He embraced life everyday giving 100% of his love and energy to passions most only talk and dream about. From adventuring with friends, to surf fishing and crabbing with his grandfather, dad and uncle, to starting and running: a successful landscape company he formed while in college, a new car rental franchise out of California, buying and selling exotic stone taking him around the globe, commercial contracting of churches such as cathedrals in Manhattan, real estate developer, making the most amazing wine under his own label, owning an art gallery, making authentic Italian gourmet pizza, sailing the Carribean, owning and operating an Olive Farm in Italy with his wife Laura, enjoying the love of horses together such as owning a polo team and playing polo from Rome to New York, South Carolina and Florida.
His highest achievement by far however, and the one he valued above all else, was being the most amazing dad to his 2 beautiful daughters Sophia and Olivia.
Peter is survived by his wife, Laura; two daughters Sophia Stanish and Olivia Stanish; stepchildren Tobias Long (spouse Jessica), Emily Long Wildman (spouse William) Janson Long (spouse Laura) and 8 grandchildren Ava, Rosalie, Christopher, Beckett, Eliza, Imogen, Greta & Grandson James Peter due in December. Also survived by his mother Rochelle Martell and 4 sisters Shelli, Stephanie, Staci and Kristin.
He was preceded in death by his father Peter Louis Stanish Jr.
