Phyllis M. Hess (Hildebrand)

On Wednesday, May 17, 2017, Phyllis M. (Hildebrand) Hess, 83, passed away at her residence in York. She was the wife of the late Ivan F. Hess. A graveside service will begin at 11 am on Saturday, May 20 in Joseph Giesey Memorial Cemetery, Shrewsbury. Rev. Dr. Martha Butkofsky Boyer will officiate. Phyllis was born March 23, 1934 to the late Charles H. and Grace E. (Rehmyer) Hildebrand. She had worked for the former Kehr Sewing Company of Shrewsbury, Savada Brothers, Inc. of Glen Rock, AMP of Shrewsbury and Wolf Farms, Inc. of Stewartstown. She was a talented seamstress for many family members, including herself. She is survived by several nieces, nephews and family members. In lieu of flowers, donations are recommended to St. Paul United Church of Christ, 161 S. Main St., Shrewsbury, PA 17361.
