Ray F. Gouge, 92, of Freeland, MD, passed away Friday, July 25, 2025 at his residence. Born October 26, 1932 in Alesia, MD, he was the son of the late Edward Ernest Gouge and Cordelia (Buchanan) Gouge. He was the husband of Pauline V. (Wilson) Gouge, his wife of 72 years.
Mr. Gouge honorably served his country in the Army. He worked at American Insulator, Black & Decker, and Crescent Industries.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, and water skiing. He leaves behind a legacy of helpfulness, generosity, and the unwavering belief that with enough determination anything could be fixed.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his daughter, Deborah Gouge and her significant other Dean LeClaire of Chazy, New York; son, David Gouge and his wife Susie of New Freedom; grandchildren, Michelle Gouge (David), Joel Kirckhoff and Osmia Graves (Jessa); great granddaughter Cordelia Sanchez and sister, Mary Teague. He was preceded in death by his twin brother Roy and sister Louticia.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Pine Grove United Methodist Church; 19401 Middletown Rd., Parkton, MD 21120 with a viewing one hour prior. Interment will be at Pine Grove UM Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Pine Grove United Methodist Church; 19401 Middletown Rd., Parkton, MD 21120.
