Richard E. "Wimp" Hansford, Sr.

Richard E. “Wimp” Hansford, Sr., age 75, of York & formerly of Dover, passed away on January 5, 2026. He was the husband of Teressa M. (Cherry) Hansford, sharing 36 years together. Born in York, son of the late Kenny Jones and Grace Hansford.

In addition to his wife Teressa, Richard is survived by his sons Richard Hansford, Jr., Wilfred Hansford, Aaron Hansford, Zachary Hansford, and brother Michael Hansford.

He retired from Wire-Mesh Products Inc., York, PA after many years of service. He graduated from York County Area Vocational – Technical School. He enjoyed being outside, listening to R&B music and DJing.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
