Richard “Rick” D. Hash, 76, of Shrewsbury, peacefully entered God’s eternal care on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at home with his loving family.

Born, April 6, 1950, in Baltimore, Maryland, Rick was the son of the late Mont W. and Ruth (Coomes) Hash. He was the loving husband of Vickie F. (Lauer) Hash whom he married on July 8, 1972, and shared 54 years with.

Rick worked as a manager for many years at Hittie’s True Value Hardware, during the years 1984-1992, and again from 2001-2009, after he moved back from North Carolina. Later, Rick was a supervisor of Crescent Industries in New Freedom from 2010 until his retirement in 2025. Rick also volunteered for the New Freedom Fire Department EMS services earlier in his life.

Rick was a member of Freedom Community Church in Shrewsbury. In his free time, his interests and hobbies included spending time outdoors; hunting, fishing, and smoking meat.

In addition to his wife Vickie, Rick is survived by two sons, Jeremy and Jordan Hash, two grandsons, Wyatt and Weston Hash, and many others who considered Rick a father and grandfather, their Abuelo/ “Abu”, as well as two brothers, Wilson and Robert Hash, and several nieces and nephews.

Following cremation, per Rick’s wishes, a celebration of life will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Shrewsbury Assembly of God Church, 234 N. Main Street, Shrewsbury, PA 17361, followed by food and fellowship in the church hall.
