Robert Francis Duckworth

Robert Francis Duckworth, 73, of Shrewsbury, entered God’s eternal care on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at WellSpan York Hospital.

Born July 4, 1952, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Robert Marks and Angela Maria (Lawrence) Duckworth.

Robert was a graduate of Kenwood High School in Essex, MD, class of 1970. He worked as a machinist in the manufacturing industry, as a loyal employee of Ray Machine, Inc., in Middle River, MD for almost 40 years, until his retirement in 2013.

Robert enjoyed going to casinos, watching James Bond movies, and eating Tasty Kakes. He always looked forward to his family’s annual trip to Ocean City, going out to eat and to the beach, but most of all he loved spending time with and looking after his siblings, nieces and nephews.

Robert is survived by his siblings, Joseph Duckworth and wife Diana of Ellicott City, MD, Maria Chervon and husband Alvin of Summerville, SC, Mark Duckworth and wife Deborah of New Park, PA, Christina Cataldi and Marvin, Jr. of Loganville, PA, Patricia Snyder of Glenville, PA, and Paula Bennett of New Freedom, PA, as well as fourteen nieces and nephews, and seventeen great nieces and great nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Clough, and his brother-in-law, John Bennett.

Following cremation, services will be private at the convenience of the family.
