Robert Alvin Morris, 73, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at WellSpan York Hospital. Born on July 31, 1952, in Baltimore, MD, Robert lived a life rooted in hard work and deep devotion to his family and friends.
Robert was the loving and devoted husband of Carol (Schiller) Morris for 47 years.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Carol; his children, Robin Newell (Rockman) and Joshua R. Morris (Nicole); his seven cherished grandchildren, Dylan Newell, Hannah Newell, Brock Newell, Lilly Morris, Grace Morris, Brady Morris, and Noah Morris. Also survived by his loving brother and sister-in-laws, Helen Belasco, Susan Minton, and John and Lyn Schiller; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Robert cherished his lifelong friendship with his best friend, Wayne Mellott, and the entire Mellott family.
He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Catherine Schiller-Klipa, father-in-law, Bernard J. Klipa, and brother-in-law, Rev. J. William Schiller.
Robert leaves behind a legacy of faith, hard work, generosity, and unwavering love. Though he is deeply missed, his family takes comfort in knowing he rests in eternal peace and in the promise of reunion through Christ.
There will be a viewing on Saturday, March 14th from 5-7pm at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, Pa 17349. The funeral service will be on Sunday, March 15th at Shrewsbury Gospel Temple, 713 W. Forrest Ave., Glen Rock, PA 17327 at 1pm with a viewing starting at 12pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Robert's memory to Shrewsbury Gospel Temple, P.O. Box 193, Shrewsbury, PA 17361.
