Robert G. Thomas

Robert G. "Bob" Thomas, 85, died Friday, December 18, 2015, at Hanover Hospital. He was the husband of Sally (Kiser) Thomas. All services are private. J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, is in charge of arrangements. Born June 7, 1930, Bob was the son of the late Roy H. and Mary B. (Peterman) Thomas. Bob was a lifelong farmer and innovator of no-till conservation practices. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Judd Thomas and his wife, Lisa; two grandchildren, Kennady and Carson; one sister, Vardella Schultz; and one brother, Kenneth Thomas.
