Ruth E. Shultz

Ruth Elaine Shultz, 76, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 16, 2018, after suffering a stroke. A public viewing is scheduled for Sunday, October 21, from 6pm to 8pm at Hartenstein Funeral and Cremation Care, Inc., New Freedom, where a service of celebration and thanksgiving for Ruth's life will be conducted on Monday, October 22, at 10:00 a.m.Mr. Allen McKinney will officiate.The interment will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York. Ruth was born March 19, 1943, a daughter of the late Parnell Brenneman and Cora Ehrhart. She was the loving wife of Gary Shultz, to whom she was married for more than 59 years. Ruth was a faithful member of Glen Rock Church of Christ since 1967.She freely gave her time and love to others as a Sunday School teacher, youth leader and missionary, and as a volunteer for Delaware Valley Christian Camp. Besides her husband, Ruth will be sadly missed by her five children.She leaves three sons, Timothy Shultz and his wife Lori; David Shultz and his wife Karlisa; and Eric Shultz and his wife, Milissa; and two daughters, Melody Shue and her husband Timothy; and Courtney Bollman and her husband Gene. Ruth was the proud Mammal to 12 grandchildren: Caleb, Breanne, Karlyn, Kayla, Kagen, Isaac, Kai, Kyra, Autumn, Jacob, Aiyanna and Desta; and 4 great grandchildren: Kaden, Jael, Theo, and Alem. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ruth’s memory to Delaware Valley Christian Camp, 33 Camp Road, Douglassville, PA19518.
