Sandra "Sandy" Kay Eelman

Jan 15, 1962 — Sep 17, 2026

Sandra “Sandy” Kay Eelman (Yee), 64, of New Freedom, PA, and formerly of Prince George’s County, MD, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

She is now reunited with her beloved husband, and soulmate, Anton “Tony” Werner Eelman. Together, they shared 25 beautiful and memorable years of marriage, creating a lifetime of cherished memories and enduring love. Their love carried Sandy throughout her life, and now, their reunion in Heaven is a beautiful reminder of a love that never truly ended.

Sandy was born on January 15, 1962, in Washington, D.C. She was the beloved daughter of the late Dorothy Elizabeth Fitzgerald and Harry Wayne Yee.

Sandy was a devoted mother, cherished Mimi, loving sister, and loyal friend. She had a warmth about her that made everyone around her feel cared for and loved. She was truly a selfless, gentle, and kind soul. Family was Sandy’s greatest joy. She treasured being a mother to Michelle and a Mimi to her grandchildren. Her Grandchildren were the light of her life, and you could see the depth of her love for them simply by the way she looked at them. She was an amazing Mimi who would do anything for her grandchildren and always made them a priority. She was there for them in every way, giving her time, her love, and her whole heart. Her love for them will forever remain in their hearts. Sandy shared a once in a lifetime bond with her sister, Tracy, and her cousin, Patricia. The love, laughter, and friendship they shared were deeply special, creating memories they will carry with them for a lifetime.

Before she retired, Sandy took great pride in her many years of work as an administrative assistant. Outside of work, Sandy knew how to enjoy the simple pleasures in life, whether it was a shopping trip, going out to eat, or playing slots. She was an avid sports fan who proudly rooted for both the Dallas Cowboys and the Baltimore Orioles. Most of all, Sandy cherished the time she spent surrounded by the family and friends she loved.

Sandy’s faith was at the heart of who she was. She loved the Lord and carried her faith with her throughout her life. Her relationship with Jesus was a source of hope, strength, and comfort and she desired those around her to know and feel that same love and peace. Although Sandy’s earthly life has come to an end, her eternal life with her Savior has begun. Her family takes comfort in knowing that Sandy is now at peace in Heaven, resting in the loving arms of her Lord.

Sandy is survived by her daughter, Michelle Renee Fackett; son -in-law, Scott Jeffery Fackett; grandson, Grant Tony Fackett; granddaughters, Wrenley Summer Fackett and Kollins Story Fackett; sister, Tracy Faye Bath; brother-in-law, Tracy Lee Bath; niece, Amanda Talak (Brad); great niece, Ruby Talak; nephews, Ryan Bath and Jeremiah Presley Yee; great nephew, Oliver Bath; and cousin, Patricia Jennings.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tony; her mother and father, and her brother, Ronny Yee.

Sandy will be remembered for her gentle spirit, warm heart, her selflessness, and unconditional love. Though 64 years never feels like enough time with someone so deeply loved, those years were filled with a lifetime of love, kindness, and cherished memories. Her absence will be deeply felt, and she will be greatly missed by all who had the blessing of knowing and loving her. In the time she was given, Sandy made a lasting mark on the lives of all who knew her. The love she gave so freely will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved her, and her family finds comfort in the promise of being reunited with her again one day.

Please join Sandy’s family and friends as they come together to celebrate her life, honor her memory, and give thanks for the love and joy she shared with so many. In her honor, guests are invited to wear blue, her favorite color.
