Sarah Marie Hewitt

Sarah Marie Hewitt, 87, of Stewartstown, PA passed away at York Hospital on Saturday, August 16, 2025. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late William and Annabelle (Freeman) Landman. She cherished her marriage of 47 years to the late James Lee Hewitt who passed in 2011.

She was the loving mother of Debbie, Marc, Karen, Cathy, Chris, Kimberly and the late Steven. She adored her nineteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her eight siblings.

Sarah loved to cook, bake, decorate, travel, and entertain family and friends. She also loved classic films and watched at least one a day.

A memorial service is planned to take place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at a future date.

Hartenstein Funeral and Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second Street, New Freedom, is assisting the family with arrangements.
