Sarah Jane Picker

Sarah Jane Picker, 83, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 15, 2026. Born in Richmond, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Massey C. and Malissie M. (Mett) Wall. She was the loving and devoted wife to the late Austin G. Picker of 52 years when he passed in October of 2013.

Sarah was a devoted and loving homemaker to her late husband. She enjoyed doing puzzles and the latest gossip. Sarah loved going out to eat, yard-saling, and her phone conversations with her family and friends. She especially loved her dog, Lucy. Sarah was also a longtime member to St. Paul United Methodist Church in Pylesville.

She is remembered by her niece, Brandi Pavey and her husband Matthew; nephew, Frederick Wiegand, Jr. and his wife Heather. She is also remembered by other nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family. Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, Pa 17363 is assisting with arrangements.
