Stephen John Rafferty, 61, of Coral Springs, Florida, born on September 16, 1964, to James Lenoard and the late Kathleen Marie Rafferty, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025, surrounded by family and love.
Stephen is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Martine Vaval, and their two beloved sons, Stephen Charles Rafferty and Tyler Lucky Rafferty. He also leaves behind his cherished siblings: his eldest sister, Patricia Gillette and his three brothers, James, Michael (Trish) and David Rafferty (Kim) ; nieces and nephews Megan, Jimmy, Sean, Bree, Dylan and Jack along with an extended grand family and many dear friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Stephen was an extraordinary human being whose kindness, compassion, and generosity touched everyone he met. He had a rare gift for making others feel seen, heard, and uplifted. Whether through his willingness to help, his infectious laughter, or his joyful and memorable stories, Stephen brought light and comfort into every room he entered.
Incredibly loving and endlessly funny, Stephen had a way of making people feel better simply by spending time together. He lived his life guided by peace and love, values he believed in deeply and hoped to spread through his words and actions. Stephen’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
A visitation will be held at Caballero Rivero Fairway Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, located at 1391 NW 45th Street, Deerfield Beach, FL 33064, on January 10th, 2026, from 11:00am to 1:00 pm following a funeral service from 1:00pm-1:30pm
The committal service will follow at the same location from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
