On Tuesday, October 2, Timothy R. Buttner died in a traffic accident coming home from Baltimore. Tim was born on September 10, 1944 in Baltimore to Mary Catherine (Riley) and Edelbert Buttner. He is survived by his wife, Linda and their two children, Amelia Ann and Christopher Michael. Tim also has two living brothers, Father Michael Buttner and Steven Buttner. Tim graduated from Towson University and went into a teaching career in the Baltimore City Schools where he taught for 42 years. He and his wife retired to Airville in July of 2011. Tim enjoyed reading and keeping up with current politics. He also played pool weekly with friends in Baltimore and was returning home from doing this when the accident occurred. There will be a visitation from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second Street, New Freedom, with a service beginning at 2 p.m. Interment is private.
