Upton "Uppie" G. Nocar

Upton “Uppie” G. Nocar, 63, of Glenville, PA, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026, in Hershey, PA.

Born September 27, 1962, in Baltimore, MD, Upton was the son of the late Joseph John and Mary (Bowser) Nocar.

Upton worked for 30 years as a transmission mechanic for Glen Burnie Transmissions. He most recently worked at Home Depot in New Freedom for the last 5 years. Upton liked to play pool and enjoyed baseball in his youth. He also had a PSL for the Baltimore Ravens since 1996.

Upton is survived by his former wife Jacqueline Lee Nocar, his three daughters, Melissa Anne Clark, Kristina Elizabeth Smith and husband Benjamin, and Nikki Lynn Stackhouse and husband Caleb, as well as 9 grandchildren, Mikey Connell, Belle Belle Pennington, Lexie Smith, Kayden Stackhouse, Kinley Smith, Brinley Smith, Kali Stackhouse, Charlie Stackhouse, and Nova Stackhouse; great granddaughter Ivy Pennington; six siblings Joseph Nocar (Shelia), Nellie Tracey Nocar (Mark), Lena (Nocar) Blagg, Wilhemia Nocar, Samantha Nocar, and Mary Nocar.

Upton was preceded in death by his parents, and grandchildren Brandon and Breanna Taylor.

There will be a viewing held on Sunday, August 16, 2026 from 3:00 - 5:00 PM at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, August 17, 2026 at 11:00 AM.

Burial will follow in Christ Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Shrewsbury, PA.
