Virginia L. Morris

Virginia L. (Palmer) Morris, 103, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Country Meadows of Leader Heights in York, PA. Born in Sunnybrook, MD, she was the daughter of the late Levi B. and Ada P. (Turnbaugh) Palmer. She was married to Robert D. Copenhaver, Sr. from 1940 to 1966 and a second marriage to Charles F. Morris, Sr. began in 1967 and ended with his death in 1995. She was also preceded in death by siblings, Ada G. Hawk and Carroll B. Palmer and stepson, Richard B. Morris. Virginia was a nurse for many years at College Manor in Lutherville, MD. She enjoyed puzzles, games, cross stitch, and spending time with family. Most of all, she loved God and faithfully read and studied His Word. Virginia is survived by her children, Virginia L. Vogel and her husband, Richard of Sanford, FL, Robert D. Copenhaver and his wife, Susan of Punta Gorda, FL, and Earl P. Copenhaver and his wife, Deborah of Glen Rock, PA, as well as stepsons, Charles, Robert, and Kenneth Morris. Also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. There will be a public viewing from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, July 29, at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. 2nd St., New Freedom, PA 17349 with a funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens in Timonium, MD.
