Walter Max Leuschner Jr.

Walter Max Leuschner, Jr. 87, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Roberta C. "Robin" Leuschner, (2014) to whom he was married 52 years. Born June 22, 1938, in Baltimore City, MD, Walter was the son of the late Walter M. and Clara R. (Gneiting) Leuschner. Walter was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Freedom, New Freedom Lion’s Club. He was employed with Western Electric for 20yrs, General Electric, Bendix for 9yrs and retired from Main Tool Co. in 2000. 

Walter is survived by his children, Michael Leuschner, Stephen Leuschner (Bonnie Cooper former daughter in-law of 33 years), Margie Jordan, and Ann McCarty and her husband, Thomas; grandchildren, Emily, Michael, Sammi, Ashley, Gregory (Melissa), Jarett, Stephanie, and Nathaniel; great-grandchildren, Mykayla, Gianna, Alli, TaeTae, TJ, and Ethan. 

There will be viewing from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. A funeral service will begin at 7:00p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family at a later date.
