William Avery Goddard

William A. Goddard of Dallastown, Pennsylvania, passed away, leaving behind family and friends who will cherish his memory.

He is survived by his brother, James A. Goddard; his sisters, Sheila R. Slayton and her husband, Ronald Slayton, and Sharon J. Mason and her husband, Charles Mason; and his beloved nieces and nephews.

William was preceded in death by his loving parents, Melvin A. Goddard and China M. Goddard (Gwinn), and his sister-in-law, Deborah Goddard (Geare).

William will be remembered for his love of music, especially guitars, which brought him great enjoyment throughout his life.

A viewing will be held on Monday, November 9, 2026, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc 19 S. Main Streets, Stewartstown, PA 17363. A graveside service will immediately follow the viewing.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
