William B. Kiser

William B. Kiser, Jr., 77, died Sunday, May 22, 2016 at his home. He was the husband of Joy L. (Bressler) Kiser. Viewings will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25 at the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Mortuary, with the Rev. Melissa Rudolph officiating. Burial will follow at Wiseburg Cemetery, White Hall, Md. Born October 3, 1938, in York, William was the son of the late William B. Kiser, Sr. and Margaret (Houston) Kiser. He was a boat maker, carpenter and jack-of-all-trades. William owned Kiser's Home Improvements until his retirement in the early 2000's. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed NASCAR and motorcycles. He was a member of the Rebel-Bass Masters Club. William is survived by two sons, Timothy Kiser and his wife Linda and William B. Kiser III and his wife Coreen; a daughter, Victoria L. Rhoten and her husband John; four grandchildren, Kayla, Kory, Stephanie and Nicholas; two great-grandchildren, Emily and Jaxon; and siblings, Jean Wilhelm and Thomas Kiser.
