William N. Parlett

William (Bill) Parlett, born February 15, 1940, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025, at the age of 85. A devoted husband, father, and community member, Bill was married to Jane E. (Smith) Parlett for 57 loving years. Together they raised two sons, William N. Parlett II and Michael D. Parlett, who is married to Brian Cush.

Bill proudly served in the U.S. Army from August 1963 to August 1965, continuing his service in the reserves until 1969. He dedicated over four decades to managing local Tru Value hardware branches, earning the respect and trust of countless friends, neighbors, and colleagues.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Reba Parlett, and his brothers, Walter (John) Parlett and Howard (Bob) Parlett. Bill will be remembered for his quiet strength, unwavering work ethic, and deep love and pride for his family.

The Parlett family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated physicians, nurses, and staff at Cancer Care Associates of York for the exceptional care, compassion, and support provided to Bill throughout his journey. Their kindness and professionalism brought great comfort during a difficult time.
